2009 Married v Single Game - July 4,
Married Team Wins 3-0. This year's event was bigger than ever with over 38 players
dressing for the game. In a big upset, the Married team won
3-0, to even the modern era at 2 games apiece. The Single team
dominated the first part of the game and the closing moments as they
attempted to even the score. The Married team played a possession
style and were able to capitalize on a few chances. Co MVPs were Lee
Fisher who recorded a shutout for the Married squad and Sam Ahwesh
(recently married), for solid defense against a great Singles squad.
Following the event, the annual picnic was held at the new
Heidelberg Park. Many players and their families attended and
as usual a good time was had by all. Thank you to everyone for
contributing.
